Living life from the depth of your soul
I always imagine life as archery. Maybe because I see myself as an archer, or maybe because we can find a deeper meaning in shooting arrows. They are not just things that stand on a string. They don't just hit the target, they have a different purpose. But why do I think that? Maybe because the man who taught me how to shoot said that each arrow is important for itself. You dedicate yourself equally to each one of them. One arrow, one life, he would say. That’s why I think that every life is important, and all of us have a different view of it, we all have our charismas inside of us. We all have opportunity to shoot that one arrow, but not all of us will hit the same center. It’s the same with charisma, not all of us will find it. But those who recognize it will definitely find their way to the center.
One arrow, one life.
I had 20 seconds left to shoot that last arrow. My victory depended on it. I had to stay focused and use all my knowledge to do the perfect shot. I was breathing slowly and in just one moment my whole life ran through my head.
I remembered how when I started doing archery I found out what charisma really is. I found its purpose, because I learned how to express myself. In the end that's the most important thing, how you think of yourself is how people will see you. So if you think that you can shine with your inner light, and if you really shine, people will know that you are special.
Each one of us is unique, our lives are unique, just like those arrows. So when an archer wants to hit the target, first he has to imagine a shot in his mind. So that means that all we can do begins in our thoughts. Everything we can become, everything that means the world to us, all that there is. If we imagine our inner light in our thoughts it will start to radiate.
Now, I'm standing on the line. I am here and now. I'm scared but also excited. What should I do? Should I think or just act? I imagined that perfect shot and my arms are starting to move. Slowly I'm pulling the string towards my head, my hands are still, and my breathing stopped. I am ready to release that arrow, my bow is ready, and my mind is calm as well. So my life is about to start. Now it is time to release the arrow, for that I have to use my strength, the determination and power of will. I have to free my senses.
The arrow has started its way to the target. That road is our life. But I don't like it when someone is calling life a journey. It is some kind of an adventure, but I always like to call it cognition. Even that cognition has some conditions. You have to learn to live in a moment. Not just any moment, but the present one, because in the present your mind is free, and you can choose where you want to go, and who you want to be. Also you have to learn to recognize your inner energy. We have different energies inside of us. I can imagine that one day I'll be at the Olympics, and that energy will bring me there eventually. In fact, charisma is one of those energies. When you feel it everyone will know that you have found the essence of yourself. That’s why people will see your heart laughing when you smile. I can see that around me. People who found a way to radiate it with such purity and cleanliness.
When an arrow is flying through the air, I call that a fight. Sometimes I feel fear, sometimes I'm lost or even lose self-confidence. But the charisma is the energy that will show me the way out and make me stronger. Life can pull me out of the course, like a wind can sway the arrow, but that energy shows me over and over that I will reach my goals.
I won’t say that charismatic people don’t feel fear, or that they don’t have doubt in themselves, they do. But they have the ability to convince themselves that they are on the right track and that fear will make them stronger. And if their conviction is strong and true, if they truly believe in themselves and the goals they want to achieve, then and only then will their charisma shine like the brightest star on the night sky and it will serve as a beacon of hope and lead others towards their goals.
When you reach your goals, that is the target, you’ll know that you have succeeded and that now you can do anything. People will feel it, they will know that now you have the ability to change the world with just one smile and a good word. They will know that you have pierced into the essence of your existence. Then you’ll know that you did everything you’ve ever imagined.
The arrow was flying through the air, one, two, three, seconds turned to hours, hours became days and it seemed like a lifetime while that final arrow was soaring through the air before it reached its goal, that small yellow inner circle. The day was mine. My dream has become reality. If you would ask me how I did it, I would say I had it in me.
Our mind is a maze. That maze is occupied by a single resident, a demon if you will and his name is fear. In the center there is a locked chest and the demon guards it. We need confidence to search for it, we need focus to find our way through the maze, we need strength to defeat the demon, but we also have to find the key to open the chest. The key is our charisma, and by unlocking the chest you will unleash your happiness, all walls shall crumble and limits will cease to exist, your every wish will come true.
As the time passed by I saw people around me finding that key, and they started to shine and charm other people. Maybe they were doing it before, but I had to find my own key and unlock my mind in order to see it in others.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, talented, successful?' Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make our inner light clear that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
